Specialist Neurophysiotherapy Home Visits
Evidence-based neurological rehabilitation, personalised to you and delivered at home.
Neurological conditions can affect movement, balance, walking, strength, coordination and independence in different ways. Rehabilitation therefore needs to be individualised, goal-oriented and focused on what you want to achieve in your everyday life.
I provide specialist neurophysiotherapy home visits for adults with neurological conditions, combining detailed neurological assessment, clinical reasoning and evidence-based rehabilitation to develop a programme tailored to your individual needs.
With two postgraduate qualifications in neurological rehabilitation, including an MPT in Neuro Physiotherapy from India and an MSc in Advanced Professional Practice in Neurological Rehabilitation from the UK, my clinical approach is informed by advanced academic training and practical experience in neurological rehabilitation.
What rehabilitation can help with
• Improving walking and mobility
• Improving balance and reducing falls risk
• Improving strength, endurance and functional movement
• Upper-limb rehabilitation
• Task-specific training for everyday activities
• Motor relearning and functional independence
• Movement and coordination difficulties
• Confidence with mobility and daily activities
• Personalised home exercise programmes
• Patient and caregiver education
Treatment is designed around meaningful functional goals, with exercises and activities progressed according to your abilities and response to rehabilitation.
Neurological conditions
Neurophysiotherapy may be appropriate for people living with conditions such as:
Stroke | Parkinson’s disease | Multiple sclerosis | Spinal cord injury | Peripheral neuropathy | Cerebellar and balance disorders | Traumatic brain injury | Post-polio conditions | Other neurological conditions
My clinical experience includes neurological rehabilitation across inpatient, outpatient and community settings, with experience managing conditions including stroke, Parkinson’s disease, spinal cord injury, peripheral neuropathy, cerebellar ataxia and other neurological presentations.
Parkinson’s Disease Rehabilitation
For suitable individuals with Parkinson’s disease, rehabilitation can incorporate LSVT BIG®-based approaches, alongside functional, task-specific and goal-oriented training.
The focus is on improving movement and functional mobility and helping individuals incorporate rehabilitation into their everyday activities.
I have completed LSVT BIG® training and have experience with Parkinson’s rehabilitation as part of my neurological physiotherapy training and clinical practice.
Your rehabilitation. Your goals. Your home.
Home rehabilitation allows therapy to be practised within the environment where you actually live.
Whether your goal is to walk more confidently, improve your balance, become more independent, use your affected limb more effectively, or manage everyday activities with greater ease, your rehabilitation programme will be tailored around you.
